Sheep to Shawl at the 2019 Humboldt Sheep Show

WE DID IT!

By Sunday morning, we had the Shawl woven, fringed, washed, and dried. It sold at the Silent Auction for $250, which I swapped for the tables fee (simpler book keeping for the organizers and us).

We got a lot of attention and promoted wool as a valued part of sheep production. Several new spinners and weavers were started. And, we all had a Great time!

So much APPRECIATION and THANKS go to all the volunteers who helped. They washed and dyed fleece; picked and carded the fluff; spun warp yarns in advance; spun weft yarns at the Sheep Show; twisted fringe; set up our display / work area; educated people stopping by; packed up; and just made it all happen!
